HOF Foundation calls for nominations

The American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame has opened nominations for the Class of 2021.  All members of the Foundation are eligible to nominate and to second a nomination.

To qualify for consideration, the individual must conduct business in the United States, have served in the industry for at least 15 years, have created a legacy as a positive influence and champion of the industry, should have achieved the pinnacle of their careers and are a least 60 years old. Moe’s Home Collection opening showroom in Toronto

Moe’s Home Collection is opening a showroom in Toronto in January.

Home furnishings wholesaler and retailer Moe’s Home Collection is opening its easternmost location in its home country of Canada.

The Vancouver, British Columbia-based brand is opening a showroom in Vaughn, Ontario, 20 minutes north of downtown Toronto at 7850 Weston Road.

Owned and operated by Thamer Almutlaq, this 7,500 square foot store’s grand opening is set for mid-January 2021.

“There are many aspects of Moe’s Home Collection and myself that aligned perfectly for this strategic partnership,” said Almutlaq. “Our core values, standards of quality and materials, teamwork and family atmosphere – our message are the same. We are here to make memories with our customers and provide only the best as industry leaders.”

Moe’s Vaughan showroom will house Moe’s Home furniture and lifestyle products across all categories and design styles, including Scandinavian, modern, mid-century modern, contemporary, industrial, rustic, art deco, and retro varieties. This will be the company’s fifth location Canada, including its headquarters, licensee stores and warehouses in Vancouver, Coquitlam, Victoria, and Delta, British Columbia.
