ICFA taps members for Board of Directors, Executive Committee for 2021

The International Casual Furnishings Assn. (ICFA) has elected new members to its Board of Directors and its board, and tapped its Executive Committee for 2021.

Elected during a virtual membership meeting held Oct. 1, new officers will assume their posts Jan 1.

Harold Hudson, president of Summer Classics Private Label, based in Pelham, Ala., will serve as chairman of the Board of Directors for 2021, and has also been elected to a three-year term on the Board of Directors. Steve Elton, chief brand curator of Brown Jordan in St. Augustine, Fla., will serve as vice chairman. Completing the Executive Committee are Karen Brams, president of Island Living & Patio, West Palm Beach, Fla.; Teresa Buelin, business development and marketing manager, Sattler Outdura, Hudson, N.C.; and Russell Sorenson, president of Hanamint Corp., Las Vegas.

IMC welcomes new, relocating and expanding tenants

International Market Centers announced that its 17 High Point Market properties will welcome more than 90 new, expanding and relocating showrooms and temporary exhibits to the Oct. 13-21 High Point Market.

To date, 73% of IMC’s 800-plus High Point resources have confirmed they will open for market, which is consistent with a recent High Point Market Authority (HPMA) report stating that 70% of the market’s total exhibitors are slated to open.

“We are delighted to welcome buyers and designers back to IMC’s properties for the upcoming High Point Market,” said Bob Maricich, IMC CEO. “As our industry continues to recover, we are confident our safety protocols will help make High Point a safe place to shop and source.”
